my five things …
… I always wanted to include into a webpage once:
i) a Google Map
ii) some AJAX
iii) a PayPal ‘donation’ button
iv) Google Ads
v) and a TagCloud
And now, finally, with a little spare time over new year and an idea developed at a local.ch x-mas event, I managed to play around with the first four of this list and included them into this handy service: http://www.where-is-my-husband.com. It is released as early alpha, far from being finished or bug-free. But hey, have a look and let me know what you think and the bugs you found. A version for the male part of the society will follow.
So, what is the purpouos of this site? Well, nothing. Or just a few things: first of all having some fun and maybe getting some answers to the following questions:
- Is there ever someone going to be who actually donates something if you have this paypal button on your site and stay more or less anonymous? Or are all these buttons out there a waste of time and bytes?
- How long will it take to get the domain registration fee back with Google Ads money? Is the year long enough?
If I get some answers, I will post them here. Stay tuned.
And finally for the fifth thing, the TagCloud: I had no idea how to squeeze that one in too, but I had a different ideas what I would like to do with a tagcloud and I started another pet-project for that. More to come as soon as it is ready to be shared.

I’m shure you will make millions with this project (perhaps you could sell it aferwards to google). Could’nt find the paypal button to donate something. And it doesn’t realy work for me, but I think that must be somethink with my computer configuration (you know this linux stuff). Perhaps you should add a function to add a husband to the site and tag him so you can made a tag cloud out of this information.
